Amy Rees Anderson, Managing Partner

Amy Rees Anderson is the Managing Partner and Founder of REES Capital, which she created to provide entrepreneurs and business executives' critical guidance and support to help their companies grow. In addition to seeking out opportunities for potential equity investments, Amy provides expert mentoring and consulting services across a broad range of business functions including: leadership training; product and market assessment; marketing, sales and public relations strategy; financial modeling; organizational structuring; strategic planning; acquisition and exit strategy; and other key areas.

Prior to founding REES Capital, Amy Rees Anderson was formerly the founder and CEO of MediConnect Global, Inc., a worldwide leader in medical record retrieval, digitization, and one of the largest cloud-based health information exchanges. Amy led all aspects of MediConnect's business, including a worldwide workforce of over 1,000 employees. Under her direction, the company achieved over 1500 percent growth. In March 2012, Amy successfully led MediConnect to being acquired for over $377 million.

Amy is an active Angel Investor and she recently founded the IPOP Foundation, a charity focused on helping educate and mentor entrepreneurs.

Amy has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Inc. magazine, USA Today, Fast Company, Bloomberg Businessweek and many other national publications as a result of her many accomplishments. She is an in-demand public speaker and respected mentor, and she does entrepreneurship lectures at a number of universities. In 2007, Amy garnered the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2015, Amy received an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters.

Amy currently serves on the boards of numerous organizations, including: Chair of Utah Valley University Woodbury School of Business National Advisory Board; University of Utah Center for Medical Innovation Board; Brigham Young University Founder's Board; USU Clark Entrepreneur Founders Board; Center for Growth and Opportunity Board at USU; and The Hale Center Theater Board.

Dave Chidester, Partner

Dave Chidester brings more than 15 years experience overseeing the overall financial standing of multiple fast-growing companies to his role as a Partner at REES Capital. Dave offers REES Capital�s portfolio of companies unique expertise related to all areas of business finance � a critical piece to the success of any growing company. His deep experience includes such important activities as financial modeling, internal reporting, strategic planning, acquisition and exit strategy, capital management, and other key functions.

Before joining REES Capital, Dave was senior vice president of finance at MediConnect Global, where he was responsible for guiding the company�s financial strategy and operations, including financial reporting, planning and forecasting, treasury, and capital management. Dave also played an integral role in the $377.8 million sale of MediConnect to Verisk Analytics in March 2012. Prior to MediConnect, Dave spent more than 10 years at Overstock.com � including five years as CFO � where he helped direct the company�s financial operations as the company grew its annual revenues from just $2 million to almost $900 million. He was also involved in taking Overstock.com public and in raising more than $400 million of capital through stock and debt offerings.

Dave is an exceptional business leader with a keen understanding of how to navigate the financial intricacies associated with start-ups and other fast growing companies. A licensed CPA, Dave has a bachelor�s degree in accounting and an MBA from the University of Utah. He also currently serves as an advisory board member for the University of Utah School of Accounting.

Shani Allsop, Partner

Shani Allsop is a Partner at REES Capital, providing clients 15 years of strategic organizational guidance and expertise. Most recently, Shani served as the Chief Operating Officer of MediConnect Global Inc. As COO, Shani was responsible for overseeing the entire day-to-day operations of the company as well as guiding the strategic development and execution of the company�s corporate and product plans. After joining MediConnect Global in 2004, Shani served in management roles of increasing influence and responsibility � including as director of operations, vice president of account management and vice president of global operations support � as the company expanded to 1,600 people operating on multiple continents.

Shani�s executive leadership was instrumental in designing MediConnect�s proprietary technology systems, which streamlined operations, cut costs and improved overall quality for the company. She has extensive experience in working with and building global teams made up of both direct employees as well as large outsourced resources. Shani played an integral role in MediConnect�s consistent and impressive growth. During her tenure, company revenues grew from less than $4 million to more than $80 million annually.

One of the hallmarks of Shani�s career is her uncanny ability to recruit and promote top talent for every department within a company. She has continually demonstrated great skill and intuition in recognizing and attracting quality people that fit and enhance a dynamic company culture. In 2012, Shani was recognized by Utah Business magazine as one of Utah�s 30 Women to Watch.
